What do we provide?

I started researching Somerset sources in 1985. Over the years I have amassed a large collection of books, documents and illustrations relating to the ancient county of Somerset.  I can offer an hourly paid research service in Somerset Archives, The National Archives (at Kew) and at Bristol Archives.

I also offer research at the UK Hydrographic Office Archive. I have 17 years experience of using the archive and co-authored the guide to the collections. I have also written books on historic charting and surveying in the United Kingdom as well as Bermuda.

Somerset History

As a result of researching Somerset archives (across the country) for over 30 years I have published numerous research papers and books. In the process I have unearthed new stories and new sources that have been missed by historians.
